Futsal World Cup:

Brasil and Argentina will play the first game of the X World Cup, to be held in Colombia.

The opening ceremony will be in the city of Bucaramanga, before the game of Brasil vs Argentina, the same day South Ossetia will face Russia. The game will be played in the Bicentury Stadium, the inaguration of the stadium will be at the same time.

The competition will start the March 15th and until the 26th we will not know the name of the champion.

Spartak Moscow is back:

From Russia we get the great news that Futsal Spartak Moscow is back, after some internal problems, in 2002 the club stop their activities, but for this season has start again, taking part of the Russian Futsal Super league.

The Spartak Moscow was founded at 1992.

Spartak Moscow was one of the best clubs in Russia and Europe, their bacame the champion of Russia the years 1994, 1997, 1999, 2000. And they won the Russian Cup the years 1997, 1999, 2000. On the seasons of 1999 and 2000 they won the Russian Super Cup.

In Europe Spartak became very famous after winning the UEFS Champions Cup the years 2001 and 2002.

Pre World Cup in Belarus

The first international futsal tournament Belaya Rus will take place in the sports arena of the Polesie State University in Pinsk.

Partaking in the competitions which start on 21 January will be the national futsal teams of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and South Assetia.

The tournament will be one of the preparation games for the Futsal World Cup in Columbia in March.

Belarus will face Ukraine on 21 January, play the team of South Ossetia on 22 January and the Russian team, one of the world’s strongest, on 23 January.

Mr. Jose Bento Vieira, Head Coach AMF Futsal CanadaWe are thrill to have Mr. Bento heading our young squad to guide them into the X AMF World Cup.

The position that Mr. Vieira has undertaken is of Head Coach under the guidelines set out by Mr. Carlos Radic our Sporting Director. He will be evaluating all invited players currently playing AMF Futsal and selecting the Senior squad . We are very fortunate to have him work alongside us with such a distinguished pedigree and all his valuable experience at our disposal.

In the short term we are preparing our senior squad to attend the AMF Futsal World Cup hosted in Colombia in the month of March 2011. In the long term his involvement will also be in setting a curriculum for an academy program for ages 7-17 and senior programs as well. Our organization is also developing referees training program and a coach-the-coach development program.We are confident that Coach Bento will have a profound influence in the Canadian AMF Futsal scene and his valued involvement will enrich the many young boys and girls currently playing out sport of AMF Futsal.
