UEFS Cup of Nations:

International futsal tournament "Cup of Nations" took place in the city of Kaliningrad, Russia. During 16th to 18th January 2009.

"Cup of Nation in Kaliningrad" was organized by "Kaliningrad Federation of Futsal" member of the Russian Federation of Futsal.

INDEPENDENT FUTSAL

This is the voice of the independent futsal of europe, is a non oficial Unión Europea de Futbol Sala (UEFS) website.

Mission statement :
To re-establish the FIFUSA style of futsal in the World, now known as AMF and UEFS, and to create a culture that will see futsal accepted as a serious sport by the public and the media.

To cement its ties with the AMF (The World Futsal Association) and UEFS (European Union de Futsal) and be represented at all major competitions and become a major force on the world scene.

UEFS:

The European Union of Futsal (UEFS) is a sporting international association for Futsal in Europe, founded in 1988.
UEFS is the continental governing body for Europe, affiliated to World Futsal Association (AMF). The current president is Valeriy Akhumyan.
Actually UEFS (futsal) and UEFA (football) are discussing for the European futsal management. UEFS is a specific governing body for the futsal and UEFA has the futsal as a committee beside football. UEFS has been organizing European Championships since some years before UEFA organizes their own ones.
UEFS stages the European Championship biennally.

AMF SUCCESSOR OF FIFUSA

AMF Maintaining FIFUSA's 'Historical' Leadership in World Futsal (Statement received from Pedro Ramón Bonettini, of Argentina, Secretary General AMF). Exercising its sovereign right, the Federación Internacional de Fútbol de Salón (FIFUSA) resolved on Dec. 1, 2002, to change its name, to update its social and sport objectives and reorganize its structure in order accommodate new and existing demands.

As of that date, the Asociación Mundial de Futsal (AMF) is the new worldwide organization that reunites FIFUSA's member countries, maintaining the historical, cultural and sports leadership of its predecessor. The two basic organizations in the old FIFUSA were the Confederación Panamericana de Futsal (PANAFUTSAL) and the Unión Europea de Futsal (UEFS). Both are now members of the AMF, maintaining the institutional, sport and historical continuity of FIFUSA in the new AMF. Also one must emphasize that the AMF and its members are the legitimate heirs of Fútbol de Salón and its sport abbreviation, FUTSAL.

The sport was born in 1930 in South America with competitions organized for national teams dating from 1965. The sport is different from and independent of any other existing world-wide organization. Whoever intends to take control of our identity because of their power, impunity or influence will have to demonstrate before justice their historical foundation and accomplishments in the life of our sport. Fútbol de Salón or historical Futsal from its recent reorganization on Dec. 1, 2002, has organized the following events: the Panamerican Club Championship, qualification for the 2004 International Club Championship in Russia, the International Youth Club Championship organized in Ecuador, qualification for the 8th World Championship in Peru, Costa Rica, Canada and Argentina, the International Women's Club Championship in Sardinia, Italy, the 8th AMF Futsal World Championship in Paraguay, featuring 20 national teams from around the world. The 1st World Among national teams in Russia, featuring 12 national teams, the 9th AMF Futsal World Championship in Argentina (2007), and, finally the 1st women`s AMF Futsal World Championship with 12 national teams (2008). All these international events that have been accomplished together with planned events throughout the world for years 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 give ample proof of the impetus of our organization and organizational transition from FIFUSA to the AMF.
